Penny Stoves from energy drink cans.

Last year I started making some penny stoves. At first I started using coca cola cans to make them, but I soon found out that I preferred using the smaller energy drink cans and they worked well.  They are very light and good to keep as  a backup.  I also used one during a power cut last winter and it worked great.  My preferred fuel for these stoves is Bio Ethanol, but other people prefer using Methylated Spirits.

A few pictures below to show you the finished stove.

I keep my penny stove in a small plastic container that I got in the local takeaway.
(I use a lid cut off from a tin of beans to use as a priming plate)

Please leave a comment If you have any questions about the places I go or about the camping gear I use. I'm certainly not an expert, but I will try my hardest to explain what I do know.
